Animating Limited Character

I found this amazing post wirtten by Victor Navone, animator at Pixar. Someone asked :

When animating on Cars, is there anything that you have wanted to animate but haven't been able to due to the limitations of using cars instead of people?

And Victor answer this perfectly. Go read this post because it's a must-see! Theres's some examples with some shots by him and others animators in movies like Nemo, Cars and Wall-E.

Have a nice day and good animating!!!

List of Twitter personalities in animated film

Hello there!

Everyone here know Twitter, I'm right? The micro-blogging website let you say what you have in mind in less than 140 character, a very interesting way to follow everyday life of personalities. As matter of fact, I wanted to create a ''List of Twitter personalities in animated film''. By this, I mean people from Dreamworks Animation, Pixar and Industrial Light & Magic, and Hopefully others studio. And also some blogs with great resources. As it's my dream to work in a major studio, I like to follow theses master. Sometimes they share exclusives information for an upcoming movie and other times we find some very interesting fact about the movie the artist worked on or simply an interesting fact about something else.

There’s also some Twitter about Blogs personality's and studios. If you like Twitter and animated movies, this list is gonna be a treasure for you.

HOWEVER! This list is not complete. And will surly never be. But, WITH YOUR HELP, we can add some more interesting people! Just tell me in comments and I’ll add it! Animators, directors or simply a very good source, Tell me! If you know a author of a blog with very good resources, lectures, tell me!

Well, I wont waste your time! The list is right here!

The list gonna be classed by studios. I will do my best to explain in a word or two the job of each artist. Animator, Effects lead, Director ...I dunno if it’s ok If I put their Real name instead of their Twitter name... If it’s wrong, tell me and I’ll change it.

Your dear Animation fanatic, Slinky.

Megamind

I will not post a long review about that movie, But I have to say that I'm surprised. I'ts really funny and emotion-full! Dreamworks Animation have done a great job on this movie! And I can't wait for Kung Fu Panda 2, in May 2011.

Will Ferrell have done a great job, and I didn't expect the end at all (well, we know it's hollywood, but well.:)
Megamind is the coolest-ever bad guy that make you want to live in Metrocity.

I don't have much more to day about Megamind. It's still very good and you should watch this movie! :)

What's next? Tangled and Harry Potter 7 part one! The two I can't wait for! And maybe after I'll be exited for Tron: Legacy. :)

Go watch it if you can! Megamind is Mega!

Hello there!

Hello there!

As you can see, my name is Francis alias Slinky3d - don't ask me why. :) I LOVE animation movies and later I will work in a major studio. I'm working hard to improving my drawing skills and animation skills, and later I want to study in that awesome school, Animation Mentor.

Here I will show you things I love; made by me or not.

As this drawing I've done yesterday, some study of Rapunzel, the movie Tangeld, which I can't wait for!

I was practicing in Squash and Stretch, i'm reading the awesome book Drawn to life, from Walt Stanchfield. It's Awesome and have crazy informations about both animation and drawing. I'm only in the first Chapter, but I tell you, it's a real treasure to read!

I also plan to buy the book "Simplified drawing for planning animation" by Wayne Gilbert. This one is also a must-have to anyone interested in animation! Wayne Gilbert was a mentor for the animator Shawn Kelly, Animator at ILM, if I remember well. Shawn is a co-founder's of Animation Mentor with Bobby "boom" beck and Carlos Baena - the guy behind the Italian Buzz in Toy story 3!! - , respectively ancient animator and animator at Pixar.

I have a lot of drawing on my DeviantArt Gallery, and you'll see that I'm a lover of cartoon, as this one from some weeks ago:

And I also wanna take Life drawing course, but for this I need a better job. :( You can see that I wanna have a lot of things! Hehe, But I know where to put my needs and not begin impulsive.

Well, We'll see each other soon, I hope! :) Thanks for reading and see you next time, folks! :D
